Character cleanups / čistky postav

To significantly reduce database (DB) size, hopefully achieve better DB cache locality and also to keep the DB at a stable size, I'm announcing the regular automated character cleanup system.

The cleanups will be performed every day during the regular server maintenance (see viewtopic.php?f=49&t=5942).

In order to be removed, a character has to match ALL of these criteria:

• /played (total time logged in) time less than 7 days
• AND last logout more than 1 month 90 days ago
• AND level less than 70

Imagine those criteria as A, B, C, then see a sample venn diagram on wolframalpha, to ilustrate this. If you don't match at least 1 of these conditions, you're safe.

In other words, your character is safe (will not be ever removed by this automatic cleanup) if ANY of these conditions is true:

• you have at least 7 days of /played (diagram)
• OR you log in at least once a month every 90 days (diagram)
• OR you have level higher than 70 (diagram)

If you still don't understand this logic, here are few examples:

• if your character has level 85 (greater than 70), it is safe
• if your twink character has at least 7 days of /played time, it is safe
• if your 1lvl "bank" character has at least 7 days of /played OR is logged in at least once a month every 90 days, it is safe
• if you're leveling up a new character, make sure to log in at least once a month every 90 days before reaching 7 days of /played OR level higher than 70
• ...

This cleanup will be activated on 4th of March, 2013 and the characters removed will not be restorable.

Pro značné snížení velikosti databáze (DB), se štěstím dosažitelné lepší lokality DB cache a také pro udržení velikosti DB na stabilní velikosti, oznamuji pravidelnou automatickou čistku postav.

Čistky budou probíhat každý den během údržby serveru (vizte viewtopic.php?f=49&t=5942).

Aby smazání proběhlo, postava musí splňovat VŠECHNY tyto podmínky:

• délka /played (celkového času ve hře) menší, než 7 dní
• A ZÁROVEŇ poslední odhlášení starší, než 1 měsíc 90 dní
• A ZÁROVEŇ level postavy menší, než 70

Představte si tato kritéria jako A, B, C, poté se mrkněte na příkladný vennův diagram na wolframalpha, který tuto situaci ilustruje. Pokud nesplňujete alespoň 1 z těchto podmínek, jste v bezpečí.

Jinými slovy, vaše postava nebude nikdy smazána touto automatickou čistkou, pokud JAKÁKOLI z těchto podmínek je splněna:

• máte alespoň 7 dní /played (diagram)
• NEBO se přihlašujete alespoň jednou za měsíc 90 dní (diagram)
• NEBO máte level vyšší, než 70 (diagram)

Pokud stále nejste schopni pochopit tuto logiku, zde je pár příkladů:

• pokud má vaše postava level 85 (více než 70), je v bezpečí
• pokud má vaše twink postava alespoň 7 dní /played, je v bezpečí
• pokud má 1lvl "bank" postava více, než 7 dní /played NEBO se přihlašuje alespoň jednou za měsíc 90 dní, je v bezpečí
• pokud levelujete novou postavu, logujte alespoň jednou za měsíc 90 dní, dokud nedosáhnete 7 dní /played NEBO levelu vyššího, než 70
• ...

Tato čistka bude aktivována 4. března 2013 a smazané postavy nebude možné obnovit.

The activation of the cleanup script has been postponed to 4th of March, 2013, ~6AM CET.

Make sure you understand the rules of cleanup and use this knowledge to keep your characters safe (the ones you care about).

In case you didn't catch it from the main post - this script will be run every day during maintenance, so keep those rules in mind for future use as well.

Aktivace čistícího skriptu byla přesunuta na 4. března 2013, ~6 hodin ráno.

Ujistěte se, že rozumíte pravidlům čistky.

Pokud jste to nepochytili z hlavního příspěvku - tento skript poběží každý den během údržby, mějte tedy tato pravidla na paměti i pro budoucí použití.

Changed the maximum character inactivity from 30 to 90 days. Since the date of the first cleanup approaches 30 days and considering how many people missed the "every day" clause, leaving it at 30 would probably result in massive unwanted removals the day after tomorrow. The group of people, making various excuses why they couldn't login their characters, is also accounted for.

Změněna maximální možná neaktivita postavy ze 30 na 90 dní. Jelikož se stáří prvního spuštění čistky blíží 30 dnům a berouc v úvahu to množství lidí, kteří přehlédli onen "každý den" dodatek, ponechání této hodnoty na 30 by pravděpodobně způsobilo velká nechtěná mazání pozítří. Navíc jsou zde tací, kteří o postavy již přišli, a vymýšlí si různé příběhy, proč nebyli schopni nalogovat onu postavu.
